For more than 40 years, World Relief`s Department of Justice-accredited immigration legal services have served our immigrant neighbors and friends, providing them with the support and knowledge they need to gain legal benefits for themselves and their families here in the United States. We are also building national capacity to address these needs by providing technical legal support to churches, volunteers and other community-based organizations. Learn more about how your community can get involved today. The path to legal immigration status for refugees, separated families and potential new citizens is extremely complex, fraught with pitfalls and frequent changes. The supply of affordable legal services remains woefully inadequate to meet demand. Due to the complexity of immigration law, many people who use these services are unable to go this route on their own and may even face negative consequences if they do. She has been a regional and national guest trainer, including for the AILA National Conference, the Federal Bar Association Immigration Conference, and CLINIC trainings. Jeanne holds a B.A.

Today, World Relief`s Legal Support Network (LSN) is a partner group of approximately 40 non-profit immigration legal service centres across the country that provide access to affordable legal services. The World Relief Triad`s ILS program works with local churches as well as the wider community to provide affordable, quality legal services to immigrants throughout the North Carolina region. World Relief Triad is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice and its case managers may represent clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The nearest ILS organization is 20+ minutes away. We have a lot of immigrants from Spanish-speaking countries, and we know that these families need services, support and advice. We`ve talked to community members and other organizations, and they`re very excited to see what this will bring to the community. If you have an open immigration file with World Relief Western Washington, contact your legal representative directly if you have any questions or concerns by email or by leaving a message on their voicemail using the phone number provided to you when you opened your file.

For more information on joining World Relief`s Immigration Legal Support Network, whether you want to provide or already offer affordable immigration legal services, please follow these steps: To practice immigration law, nonprofit organizations must have a lawyer on staff or be recognized by the Department of Justice (DOJ). Full Accredited Representative status allows you to represent clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Immigration Court, or DOJ without being a lawyer. Partially accredited representative status is limited to representation at USCIS and does not allow that person to represent clients in immigration court or DOJ. The Global Immigration Relief Program team supports immigration practitioners in three main areas: technical legal assistance, assistance with recognition and accreditation from the Department of Justice, and legal updates and training. Legal advice on immigration matters across the country is supported by World Relief`s National Immigration Programs team by providing excellent technical legal assistance and assistance with the Department of Justice for recognition and accreditation. The team also provides legal updates, strategic advice and ongoing legal education to World Relief ILS offices and affiliated non-profit immigration law advisory sites that make up our legal support network.

We provide technical legal assistance to non-profit organizations that are not active in the field of immigration legal advice. If practitioners have substantive legal questions about their case, they can access our team of immigration lawyers who have experience in immigration practice. We provide recognition and accreditation assistance to the Department of Justice, assist organizations in applying for recognition to the Department of Justice, assist representatives in submitting their applications for accreditation, and assist in applying for renewal. We also offer legal updates and practical advice through our weekly newsletter. In addition, we offer a full year of live webinars on a range of topics related to immigration law, practice and administrative procedures.
