Endrit Sadiki, a final-year law student, was among the first to participate in this innovative program. The Faculty of Law`s new Student Outdoor Clerk (SOC) program was created in consultation with the Kent Law Society and Kent Law Clinic to give a helping hand to busy lawyers. But it is also a valuable opportunity for law students to gain hands-on legal experience in the courtroom. A cost lawyer is a specialized lawyer who handles all aspects of litigation costs. Legal secretaries may work in law firms as well as in other legal frameworks such as chambers, courts, police or local authorities. Endrit recently worked with Sadie Castle, a paralegal at Tuckers Solicitors, to assist the court-appointed lawyer in a landmark seven-day sexual abuse trial. Endrit not only sat behind the lawyer and took accurate notes throughout the trial, but was also instructed to take notes of all the lectures between the defense attorney and the accused.
